Getting Started - Preferences and Site Settings |
| Start Quick Edit, and
click on the "Add Shopping" button. Before opening a file, you will get the message
"You must have a BUY button in your document, select it and go to Add/Modify shopping!".
Ignore the message and click on OK.
Next you should get a Shopping Cart ID (in Site Settings). The ID is free; it simply allows Pageville to store your preferences, settings, and other shopping data. Click on the "Get Shopping Cart ID" if you don't have one yet, or fill in an ID you already have. Enter the Merchant Name or name of the online store. Then click on the Type of Shopping Cart Service. The Preferences tab allows you to determine how your shopping cart will function. Set your preferences prior to converting any shopping buttons. |

A Better Way... |
| Pageville's goal is to provide an easy shopping cart interface to work with
many different web page content editors. If your content editor does not have an
integrated shopping cart editor, it is easy for its developers to add the Pageville
Shopping Cart Editor. The user benefits by not needing to learn to use additional
software; the web site editor adds a valuable feature, and Pageville processes
more shopping carts.
Currently, Pageville's Shopping Cart Editor can be added to FrontPage with a plugin, and is bundled with Cool Page. Ask the creators of your content editor to add Pageville shopping. They can learn more at: Pageville Shopping Cart Editor API. |
