When signing up for a domain that will be hosted by Pageville, it is best to have two browser windows open; one for this page and the other to sign up for the domain at www.networksolutions.com.

Pay Network Solutions directly for the domain name. You will need to update your domain name registration periodically through Network Solutions, not Pageville. Please save your Network Solutions account name and password for future updates and account modifications. Network Solutions verifies account modifications via e-mail, so it is extremely important to keep an accurate e-mail address on file.

You will need to copy and paste the following Pageville Information to the Network Solutions web site. Pageville will let you know if your site will be hosted on server 1 or 2.

Pointing a Domain to Pageville

There are three steps required to point a domain so that, when a user enters the domain name, his or her browser reaches the correct web page. These are:

• Network Solutions will point the domain to a Domain Name Server (DNS). This occurs when you buy a domain through Network Solutions. If you use the above information, the domain will point to the DNS used by Pageville.

• Pageville will point the domain from the DNS to a Virtual Server at Pageville when Arlington Web Services, Inc. (AWS) receives the web hosting fees from the site owner.

• Pageville will point the domain from the Virtual Server to the directory for the site. If a Pageville designer is working on the site, the designer will use "http://www2.pageville.com/designer/dsradmin.html". (When new servers are added in the future, the www2 will change to www3, www4, etc.) Otherwise, a Pageville office administrator will complete this step.

Note to designers: The above three steps as well as site activation can be completed out of order if necessary. For example, you may activate the site before or after the domain has been pointed to Pageville's DNS (step one). Additionally, the domain can be pointed from the Virtual Server to the site directory (step 3) anytime after site activation. Normally arrangements will be made for the site owner to pay the hosting fees to AWS after site activation and step one, and the domain is pointed from the Virtual Server to the site directory (step 3) before the site design is complete.

Pointing a Domain to Pageville

• Log in to your account at Register.com. Select the domain you want to point, and click on "Switch Domain".
• Go to Account Management - Change IP. Enter the primary IP address for your Pageville server.
• Change mail record - click on "Change MX". Leave the priority "Hi". Add or edit your mail server:
  • www.pageville.com for server 1
  • www.pvtracking.com for server 2
  • Primary IP: 128.121.123.92 for pageville.com - server 1
  • Primary IP: 128.121.127.111 for pageville.com - server 2
  • Primary IP: 192.220.111.141 for pageville.com - server 3
  Contact Pageville to get e-mail addresses mapped through Pageville.
